KANSAS CITY VETERINARY CARE

A Big Bungalow for vets - sympathetic to the neighborhood context, clients and their pets.

This early 1900’s home had been converted to an animal clinic in the 70’s and had seen a number of not-so-sympathetic additions and remodels.  For the Kansas City Veterinary Clinic, the objective was to remodel existing structure into a state-of–the-art Veterinary facility while retaining the homey residential character that patrons had come to appreciate.  By utilizing materials and stylistic elements from the neighboring bungalows, I-DIZ was able to breathe new life and architectural character into the old building.  In addition to accomplishing the design objectives, the project required a significant planning and management effort in order to keep the business in operation throughout five phases of construction.
